ZYS Training Solutions

Terms of use

These terms apply when you use zysacademy.com, start a demo or buy a plan. They are written in plain English, and they are in English only. Last updated 2 November 2026.

Who we are

ZYS Training Solutions is the trading name of Dr Rashid Suleman, a sole trader based in England. Our postal address is available on request: email us and we will give it to you in writing. Email: support@zysacademy.com.

What ZYS is, and is not

ZYS is an independent educational service for people preparing for medical examinations. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any Royal College, the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK or any examination board. Nothing on the site is an official examination prediction, and ZYS does not replace official examination guidance, curricula or sample papers.

ZYS is not medical advice. Do not use it to make decisions about the care of a real patient; follow current local and national guidance and your own clinical judgement.

The question banks and case banks are in beta. Members can see items whose clinical review is still in progress, and each item's review status is recorded. Content can contain errors; please report anything that looks wrong using the report option or by email, and we will recheck it. AI-generated material, including voice role-play and automatically checked chat answers, is labelled as AI-generated and has not been reviewed by a clinician unless it is labelled as reviewed.

What you get, and what you need

What each plan includes is shown on the plans page at the time you buy. ZYS works in current versions of the major web browsers on computers and phones, and needs an internet connection. Voice features need a microphone. All content is in English.

Your account

Your account is for you alone. Keep your sign-in secure and do not share it. You can use ZYS on up to two devices at a time; signing in on a third signs you out of the one you used least recently. You can add up to four new devices in any 12 months, for example when you change phone. Clearing your browser's cookies or using private browsing counts as a new device. If you need more, email us and we will help. If an unusually large part of a question bank is opened in a short time, we may pause the account while we check, and we will contact you. Some new accounts need our approval before learning access starts. If we take a payment and then cannot give you access, we will refund it in full.

Never enter information that could identify a real patient anywhere on the site, including notes, chat and voice practice.

Using the content

The questions, cases, explanations and other content belong to Dr Rashid Suleman or to the people who licence them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study while you have access. You may not copy, publish, sell or share them, or collect them with automated tools. Learning pages carry an invisible mark linked to your account, so shared copies can be traced. Your own notes are yours.

If you break these terms

If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms (for example by sharing your account, copying content in bulk, entering patient-identifiable information or trying to get round access controls), we may suspend or close your account. Except where urgent action is needed to protect the service, other users or patients, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close your account for any other reason, or in error, we will refund the unused part of any plan you have paid for.

Free demo

You can try an exam part free for seven days without giving payment details. Each demo is available once per exam part, and it does not turn into a paid plan automatically. Your saved work is kept when the demo ends and unlocks if you later subscribe.

Plans, prices and payment

Plans are sold per exam part, in pounds sterling, at the prices shown on the plans page when you buy. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged: the price shown is the total you pay. Payment is taken by our payment provider, Stripe. Your contract with us starts when your payment is confirmed.

Before you pay, the checkout page shows the key information together: the price, any discount and how long it lasts, how renewal works and how to cancel. We email you a confirmation once your payment is confirmed.

Discount codes

On a monthly plan, a discount code lasts for a fixed number of months, never more than six, shown at checkout before you pay (for example "£2.50 a month for 3 months, then £4.99 a month"). After that, the standard price shown at checkout applies until you cancel. We email you before the first payment at the standard price, so you can cancel first if you wish. If you are charged the standard price and cancel within 14 days of that payment, we refund the unused part of that month. On a 6-month pass, a discount applies to the single payment. A monthly discount bought before 2 November 2026 continues until we end it, and we give at least 30 days' notice by email before it ends.

Price changes

For a monthly plan, we may change the price for later renewals, for example because our costs change. We will email you at least 30 days before a renewal is charged at a new price, and you can cancel before the change and pay nothing more. A change never affects a month you have already paid for, or a pass you have already bought.

Your right to cancel

The law normally gives you 14 days to change your mind about an online purchase. For ZYS plans, access to the learning content starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. At checkout you ask for access to start straight away and confirm that you understand you lose the 14-day right to cancel once access begins. We confirm this in your order email. So once access has started, you cannot cancel for a refund simply because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your rights if the content is faulty or not as described (see below).

If access has not started (for example because your payment is still being confirmed), you can cancel within 14 days of buying and get a full refund. Email support@zysacademy.com saying that you want to cancel, or use the cancellation form below. We will refund you within 14 days of hearing from you, to the payment method you used.

Cancelling a monthly plan stops future payments. We do not refund part of a month that has already started, except within 14 days after the first payment at the standard price following a discount (see Discount codes), or if the service was faulty.

Your legal rights

The law requires our content and service to be as described, of satisfactory quality and provided with reasonable care and skill. If they are not, you can ask us to fix the problem. If we cannot, you are entitled to a price reduction or a refund for the affected period. If faulty digital content we supply damages your device or other content because we did not use reasonable care, we will repair the damage or compensate you. For more detail, see Citizens Advice.

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, and we do not guarantee any examination result. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

ZYS Voice credits

ZYS Voice credit packs are not currently on sale. Before they are, we will add their price, what a credit buys, whether credits expire and how refunds work to these terms. Where voice minutes are included with your access, a session window includes setup and feedback and is reserved when the session starts. If a session fails because of a fault on our side, we will restore the minutes used. If you end a session early yourself, the reserved window is used.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, email support@zysacademy.com with "Complaint" in the subject line. We aim to reply in full within 21 days. We do not currently use an alternative dispute resolution scheme. You can also get help from the Citizens Advice consumer service.

Your information

How we use your information, and how long we keep it, is explained in our privacy notice.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law, in our service or in how we run it. Changes will not apply to a pass you have already bought unless they are required by law or are in your favour. If we make a change that is to your disadvantage, we will email monthly members at least 30 days before it applies to them, and you can cancel before then without charge. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there. If you live outside the UK, you also keep any protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
